“Healthy Families New Zealand
is about systems level change
for prevention at scale.”
Healthy Families Rotorua is using a ‘Collective Impact’ approach to ensure whole-of-community engagement in determining local solutions.
The disciplines of this approach will enable multiple collaborating parties to identify a clear common agenda, the contributions they are already making or can make in the future, and practical indicators of progress and change.
Collective Impact approaches depend on distributed and collaborative leadership. AWHI Rotorua was established in October 2014 and is the Prevention Partnership Table for community partners and stakeholders to lead sustainable change in the health and wellbeing of whanau in the Rotorua district. AWHI Rotorua provides vision, leadership and effort to Healthy Families Rotorua.
